NASCAR coming ?















Kentucky Speedway owner Bruton Smith is planning a big announcement dealing with the possibility of bringing a NASCAR Sprint Cup race to the track in the near future.

700 WLW learned Friday of a major press confereence set for Tuesday August 10th at the track and that it "deals' with the track's ongoing effort to land one of NASCAR's top tier races.

Smith expects 500 people at the announcement including Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear as well as three time Sprint Cup champion Darrell Waltrip.
